The 52nd Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition, entitled 'Think with the Senses - Feel with the Mind', features exhibitions from 76 countries.

The artistic director of the 52nd Exhibition is the American curator, critic and artist, Robert Storr. The main exhibition venues are the Giardini, where national pavilions are hosted, and the Arsenale area, that includes the Corderie and the Artiglierie venues. Other exhibition venues throughout Venice host more national participations and collateral events.

The Venice Biennale has for over a century been one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the world. Ever since its foundation in 1895, it has been in the avant-garde, promoting new artistic trends and organising international events in the contemporary arts in accordance with a multi-disciplinary model which characterises its unique nature.

Since 2006, the Arsenale has been the permanent seat of the new Italian Pavilion, making its debut this year with an exhibition curated by Ida Giannelli and representing one of the main novelties in the 52nd Exhibition.
